Heron Ross Entry
Moseley, VA
This home sits on the waters edge of a major lake in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Indigenous to the area are blue herons. The owner wanted privacy for this craftsman styled home, but also wanted to bring the outside into the home. This graceful and elegant beveled heron was perfect. All that was need was a little landscaping of cattails and grass.
The craftsman details are featured by the mullions in sidelights and door. So as not to distract from the heron and in keeping with the craftsman style, only legacy textured glass was used in them and the transom. The simplicity of the clear bevels used to make the heron, provide a stark contrast to the texture of legacy and hammered glass.
